KENYA, Mombasa: A photograph taken by the Ministry of East African Affairs, Commerce and Tourism (MEAACT) 29 May 2015, shows residential developments in the Indian Ocean port city of Mombasa. With the coastal tourism industry well-established and the city’s seaport and container terminal being one of only two major entry and export points for the entire east Africa region and much of the land-locked hinterland, the company My Space Properties was established seven years ago after realising the potential in the city’s growing real estate industry and Mombasa as an investment destination. With a number of residential and business developments in and around Nyali, My Space Properties is planning to expand north along the coast to Lamu, to the capital Nairobi and elsewhere in Kenya, as well as further afield to the Ugandan capital Kampala, and exhibits the current positive trend and upbeat attitude business has towards both Mombasa as a trading-hub and the rest of Kenya as an investment destination.
